Providing care for your pet 24 hours a day & 365 days a year

In June 2005, the decision was made to include ‘VET CALL’ in our service.

As part of our continuing drive to improve standards it was considered inappropriate to expect vets, who work long days, to provide the same exacting standards of care for our clients and their pets during the night/weekend and bank holidays as well. Therefore ‘VET CALL’ was selected to enhance the all round care that we can offer clients for their pets. ‘VET CALL’ is seen as an extension of the high standard of care that Borrajo's Veterinary Clinics aim to provide.

‘VET CALL’ provides a dedicated staff of Vets and Nurses, operating within excellent facilities, to run the emergency centre. These members of staff remain at the premises throughout the out of hours period and are available to our clients for the care of their pets, whether it be an emergency, the need for advice, ongoing care or the intense monitoring of acute cases.

Staff within ‘VET CALL’ will endeavour to give a quotation for the cost of treatment before the anticipated treatment is started.

Please note that ‘VET CALL’ is financed independently to Borrajo's Veterinary Clinics. Clients of Borrajo's Veterinary Clinics can contact ‘VET CALL' during out of hours on 0116 255 6360.

‘VET CALL’ is based at: PDSA Small Animal Hospital 64 Heyford Road, Leicester LE3 1SR

Home visits

Home visits can be arranged at a mutually convenient time. However, it should be appreciated that many conditions can be more effectively treated if pets are brought into the clinic, where a wide range of equipment, facilities, drugs and personnel is available for their care. As far as possible please give plenty of notice when visits are required.

Ambulance

If you would like to bring your pet to one of our clinics, but do not have means of transport, please ask us to recommend a pet ambulance service or pet friendly taxi firms.
